Suspect Peacefully Surrendered In Bismarck

(Bismarck, ND) — A 36-year-old man who reportedly made threatening statements was located yesterday morning inside his car in the parking lot at the North Bismarck Walmart. Police had been notified about the threats by North Dakota Parole and Probation. West Dakota SWAT negotiators were eventually able to persuade the man to surrender peacefully. Authorities said he was hospitalized for an assessment and then held over at the Burleigh Morton Detention Center for parole and probation authorities.
