Temporary Natural Gas Rate Increase Approved

(Bismarck, ND) — It will soon cost you more to heat your home now that The North Dakota Public Service Commission has approved a request from Montana-Dakota Utilities to temporarily increase rates for natural gas services. The interim increase allows M-D-U to recover some natural gas-related costs by tacking the charges to consumers. The nearly 6-and-a-half percent increase adds up to about 5 dollars-23 cents a month for the average residential customer. It will affect about one-hundred-and-seventeen-thousand residential and commercial customers in North Dakota, and the rate hike takes effect next month.
