Tioga School District Asking For Money For Expansion

(Tioga, ND) — Growing enrollment and overcrowding has the Tioga School District asking for more than twenty-three-point-five-million-dollars for additional space. More than 300 students attend Tioga’s Central Elementary this year. While it’s not over capacity, the principal is anticipating a steady influx of students and wants to prepare for the future. With no additional land available at the elementary, the plan calls for six classrooms to be added at Tioga High School and moving sixth-grade students. That move will free up space at Central Elementary for other programs like English Language Learning.
