(Tioga, ND) — The Tioga School District has passed its bond vote. Unofficial results show 202 people voted yes and 100 voted no for a twenty-three-point-five-million-dollar bond, surpassing the 60-percent needed to pass. Superintendent Paul Olson says the bond money will be used for an addition at Tioga High School, creating new classrooms and a gym to free up space at Tioga’s Central Elementary. The district plans to apply with the Bank of North Dakota for the loan in hopes of securing a two percent interest rate, and they hope to begin construction by this summer.
