(Bismarck, ND) — New data shows how much livestock was lost during North Dakota’s wildfires. The Extension Agency at NDSU says 270 animals died during the fires and there are 38 still unaccounted for. The agency says in addition to the livestock that was lost, nearly 100 miles of fencing was either damaged or destroyed.
