Turtle Mountain Residents Asked To Conserve Water

(Belcourt, ND) — People living in the Turtle Mountains region are being asked to conserve water. The call for water conservation has been issued by the Turtle Mountain Public Utilities Commission, and stems from a series of problems with the local water system. Reported issues with the system include broken water lines, leaks, water treatment problems, and construction issues. The public is being asked to avoid using sprinklers, pools, or any other unnecessary use of water. The commission says they will be handing out drinking water in the meantime.
