(Medora, ND) — Two produced water spills were reported in western North Dakota this past week. The first one happened on Thursday southwest of Ross in Mountrail County, where more than 13-thousand-three-hundred gallons of produced water was released. Another spill was reported near Medora the following day, where a pipeline leak released 14-thousand-seven-hundred gallons of produced water. The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division says most of the water from the first spill was recovered, but it’s not known how much was recovered at the second spill.
