US Ports Of Entry May Extend Hours

(Bismarck, ND) — Legislators are looking to extend hours of operation for ports of entry at the North Dakota-Canada border. During the COVID pandemic, decreased traffic across the border resulted in a reduction of hours, but state lawmakers want that to change now that the pandemic is over. Officials recently introduced legislation that would change the hours of operation, and highlighted the disparity in operating hours between US and Canadian ports. The legislation is also being co-sponsored by Senators and Representatives from Idaho and Washington.
