Utility Company Refuses To Cut Power To Data Center Site

(Williston, ND) — Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative is refusing to cut power to the construction site of a crypto data mining center near Williston. On Tuesday, a county commission voted to cut the power due to repeated construction delays. However, the utility company has not yet done so, saying they are waiting on a court determination to make sure the appropriate process is followed. Williams County officials are reportedly speaking with their attorneys on how to proceed with the issue.
