Valley City Schools Struggling With Extreme Cold

(Valley City, ND) — Valley City Public Schools are struggling to keep students warm amid the extreme cold. Superintendent Josh Johnson says the schools were unable to raise the temperature in their classrooms above 50-degrees on Monday. The school’s heating units were unable to keep up with the extremely low temperatures once they dropped into the single digits and below. The school district says they don’t expect classroom temperatures to be as bad today, but still advise that students wear multiple layers to school.
