Vietnam-Era Tank Arrives In Dickinson

(Dickinson, ND) — A historic Vietnam-Era Tank arrived in Dickinson over the weekend. Crowds watched as the 28-thousand-pound U.S. Army Sheridan M551 Tank was lifted onto a concrete pad at the Stark County Veterans Pavilion on Saturday for permanent display. The tank serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our country’s veterans, and also offers a unique glimpse into U.S. military history. The project was organized by the American Legion Post 3, who worked towards the goal of bringing the tank to Dickinson for years.
