Watford City Homicide Suspect Back In North Dakota After Wyoming Arrest

(Watford City, ND) — A Watford City man facing a negligent homicide charge is back in North Dakota following his arrest in Wyoming. Authorities arrested Hugo Hernandez Jr at a motel in Gillette, Wyoming last week. Investigators say Hernandez fatally shot a woman inside a Watford City apartment last year, then fled the state and laid low in Gillette until his recent arrest. Hernandez faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison, and his next court appearance is set for June 20th.
