West Fargo PD Launches Body Cam Program

(West Fargo, ND) — The West Fargo Police Department launched its body camera program Thursday. Over 80 body cameras will be deployed to the department’s officers, which will capture and save video of interactions between the officers and the public. The cameras will automatically activate in certain situations, such as the removal of a duty weapon from an officer’s holster, or if a police cruiser’s lights and sirens are turned on. Training for the body camera program is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
