West Fargo Police To Implement Body Cameras

(West Fargo, ND) — The West Fargo Police Department is planning to have their officers start wearing body cams. The program has not yet been implemented, and the body cameras are currently being tested. The department selected the Motorola Solution’s WatchGuard camera, and police say they are happy with the system so far. Overall, they plan on purchasing a total of eighty-five body cams. West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness says use of these cameras reinforces community trust and transparency.
