(Grand Forks, ND) — A Wisconsin man will be taking over as the new police chief of Grand Forks. On Tuesday, the Grand Forks City Council approved Jason Freedman to be the new chief. Freedman had previously served as a captain with the Madison Police Department. He’ll take over in Grand Forks starting on January 27th with a starting salary of about 160-thousand dollars. Freedman replaces Mark Nelson who retired back in September.
