(Williams County, ND) — A man who pleaded guilty in Williams County to fatally shooting his wife in 2022 has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Jacob Long was charged with murder, terrorizing, and criminal trespass after killing 30-year-old Megan Lindquist. Long originally pleaded not guilty before changing his plea ahead of a jury trial. Long was also sentenced to two additional years in prison for terrorizing, and was given time served for criminal trespassing.
