(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota is getting its first major snow storm of the winter season. The National Weather Service says the Bismarck-Mandan area could get up to three inches of snow through Wednesday, and Williston could get up to four inches. Minot could see up to eight inches, while the Turtle Mountains could get over a foot of snow. The Weather Service is also reporting 40-mile-per-hour wind gusts in the Bismarck-Mandan area, sending wind chill temperatures down to 15 degrees.
(Bismarck, ND) — Winter weather is causing hazardous road conditions across North Dakota. Bismarck Police say 32 crashes were reported late Tuesday because of icy roads in the area. Minot Police say they responded to nine vehicle crashes as of 7 p.m. Tuesday. Forecasters are warning of near-blizzard conditions through early Wednesday night.
