Woman Accused Of Threatening ND Governor To Undergo Mental Evaluation

(South Heart, ND) — A South Heart woman accused of threatening North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is to undergo a psychological evaluation. According to authorities, Jody Kuntz left voicemails on the governor’s phone threatening to hang him, and allegedly made other threats directed at him in calls she made to the Department of Public Instruction. A court hearing was canceled this past week when questions about the woman’s mental health and competency arose, and a judge granted a request for her to be evaluated at the State Hospital in Jamestown. Kuntz is currently facing harassment-threat charges.
