Woman Pleading Guilty In Overdose Death Case

(Grand Forks, ND) — A Grand Forks woman is pleading guilty criminal charges in connection with a fatal overdose. Stephanie Hagemen is accused of purchasing fentanyl and selling it to a woman, who overdosed on the drug and died in early 2022. At a Thursday court hearing, Hageman pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, along with two other charges for drug sale and drug possession. If convicted of the third-degree murder charge, she faces up to 25 years in prison.
