Woman Sentenced For Role In Shooting

(St. Michael, ND) — A woman has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for being an accessory after the fact to a non-fatal shooting in St. Michael. It happened in 2022, and authorities say Skyla Cavanaugh gave false statements during the investigation. She also later confronted and attacked a witness. She pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact, giving false statements, and retaliation against a witness and was sentenced on Monday.
