Air Quality Alert Issued For Central And Southern Minnesota This Afternoon

(St. Paul, MN) — Officials say an Air Quality Alert will be in effect for central and southern Minnesota this afternoon. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency says the alert came about due to pollutants from the Chicago area, northwest Iowa, and southeast Minnesota that cause dangerous air quality. The affected areas include the Twin Cities, Brainerd, St. Cloud, and Rochester. The alert begins at noon and ends Thursday at 9 p. m.
