(Helena, MT) — Governor Greg Gianforte is signing a bill expanding access to affordable healthcare in Montana. Gianforte put his signature on the measure yesterday, which authorizes physician assistants with extensive postgraduate clinical experience to practice independently. The governor called it a “commonsense bill” that takes away roadblocks for providers to give care to residents. He added the legislation will especially help those in rural communities.
