(Helena, MT) — The Republican and Democratic candidates for governor are going to square-off before the November debate. The campaigns of incumbent Governor Greg Gianforte and Ryan Busse said this week the pair will meet for a debate on October 16th. It will be hosted by NonStop Local but other details are still being worked out by both sides. The announcement comes after Gianforte initially declined debating with his Democratic challenger because Busse hadn’t released his tax returns. Progress towards a debate started being made not long after Busse revealed those returns at the beginning of the month.
