Child Killed In Farming Accident in Northwest Iowa

(Sioux Co., IA) — A toddler is dead after an accident on his family’s Sioux County farm. It happened Saturday evening, about four miles southwest of Sioux Center, Iowa. Sheriff’s officials say 30-year-old Christopher Maassen accidentally hit the 20-month-old boy, Walker Maassen, with his vehicle. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
