Child Nearly Abducted In Fridley

(Fridley, MN) — Police are searching for an attempted kidnapping suspect following the near-abduction of a child in Fridley. Last month, a 9-year-old girl went to retrieve something from her mother’s car in the parking lot of their apartment complex, when a man pulled up in a vehicle next to her. The man reportedly told the girl to get in the car and grabbed her hand and mouth, but she was able to break free and escape. The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s or 30s, and investigators say they’re looking for a blue vehicle with a hatchback.
