Couple Gets 30 Years For Murder Of Inver Grove Heights Man

(Inver Grove Heights, MN) — A Minneapolis couple is facing thirty years behind bars for the murder of an Inver Grove Heights man. That sentence was handed down yesterday to Fotini West and Logan Slack for the fatal shooting of Michael Chang-Beom Lee. According to a criminal complaint, Slack claims he took West to Lee’s home back in September for an “erotic massage.” Slack told investigators that West came out of the home and claimed Lee assaulted her and refused to pay. Slack claims he went into the home with a revolver and shot Lee after a struggle. Prosecutors characterized West as a drug-addicted sex worker who used extortion tactics to get money from her victims. Prosecutors also say West lied to Slack about Lee attacking her, which led to the fatal shooting.
