(Fargo, ND) — The craft beer industry is seeing a downward trend for a second year in a row. Craft beer saw no growth in 2023 for the first time ever – not including the pandemic – and minus a one-percent production decline for 2024. That’s the worst on record since the brewer’s association began tracking industry data in the late 1970s. The overall beer industry saw minus five-point-one-percent production volume. Heavy competition and changing alcohol consumption habits are a concern to the sector, with younger generations drinking far less than their predecessors.
