Crow Wing County Nurse Charged With Illegally Selling Prescription Drugs

(Baxter, MN) — A Crow Wing County nurse is facing federal charges for allegedly using her position to obtain and sell prescription drugs. The Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office announced the indictment of 33-year-old Cambie Broker yesterday. Prosecutors accuse Broker of writing false prescription requests through her position as a case manager at a hospice clinic in Baxter. She would allegedly obtain opioid medications like fentanyl and oxycodone, keeping some for personal use and selling the rest. The U.S. Attorney credited the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and the D-E-A for the investigation that led to Broker’s arrest.
