Drought Conditions Improve In Minnesota

(Undated) — Recent rainfall is helping slowly ease drought conditions in Minnesota. The latest U.S. Drought Monitor map released yesterday shows that five-percent of the state is experiencing extreme drought, down from seven-point-six-percent last week. The levels of severe and moderate drought are also down this week, while areas considered abnormally dry have increased. Conditions could improve even more next week, as rain is expected in many parts of Minnesota through the weekend.
