Drowning Victim Identified

(Buffalo, MN) — The identity of a man who drowned in Lake Pulaski on Monday has been released. Authorities say the man was 20-year-old Jair Sanchez Loya, a citizen of Mexico. Reports indicate that Sanchez Loya has been swimming in the lake when he lost a flotation device and sank under the water. Rescue drivers were able to pull him out of the lake, but he had been under the water for forty-five minutes, and was later pronounced dead. Sanchez Loya had just reportedly completed his fourth semester at Mexico’s Autonomous University of Tamaulipas.
