(East Grand Forks, MN) — Old wastewater lagoons in East Grand Forks will be sold to the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency. The sale was approved during a Tuesday night East Grand Forks City Council meeting. The lagoons are located along the Red River, and have been used to grow hay and alfalfa since they went out of service in 2018. The Minnesota Municipal Power Agency plans on using the property to explore renewable energy opportunities.
