Emmer Says Home In Wright County Was Swatted

(Wright County, MN) — Minnesota Congressman Tom Emmer says his home was the target of a swatting call over the weekend. The Republican congressman released few details about the call, saying on social media that a prank call to 911 diverted police to his home. He said no one was home at the time of the call, and he thanked the Wright County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism and support. He called swatting an illegal and dangerous scheme being used to target public officials and condemned it as an illegal abuse of police resources.
