(Crookston, MN) — A man killed during a police-involved shooting in Crookston is identified by his family. Christopher Junkin’s niece says he was killed late Sunday night by officers responding to a fight at a homeless shelter. Police say he became combative toward officers and did not follow verbal instructions before being shot. Authorities have yet to say if the defendant was armed. Officials with the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are leading the investigation.
