(Des Moines) — Four female officers win millions after fighting in court for over four years. The female officers filed a sexual discrimination lawsuit, claiming to have been passed over for promotions, being sent nude photos, and being called names. The city of Des Moines paid one officer 1.1 million dollars in settlement and and the other three just below half a million dollars. The changes made after the lawsuit include new rules requiring the police to work with the city HR department during harassment investigations and that police investigators need to be professionally trained.
