(Helena, MT) — Montana Governor Greg Gianforte is blasting the Biden administration over a new rule concerning natural gas. The Bureau of Land Management announced yesterday a rule that aims to “reduce the waste of natural gas from venting, flaring, and leaks” when oil and gas production activities are taking place. Gianforte described it as the “latest attack in President Biden’s war on energy.” The governor claims BLM is acting outside of its authority by issuing the rule and “undermining Congress.” Gianforte suggested Biden focus more on “expanding natural gas production” that will help everyone receive affordable energy.
