(Des Moines, IA) — A top surrogate for Joe Biden says the President’s age is an asset and not a liability. Speaking on NBC’s Meet the Press, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said that with age comes wisdom. The chair of the Democratic Governors’ Association praised Biden for the infrastructure act and getting roads and bridges built across the country. Walz acknowledged that major immigration reform is needed at the southern border, but blamed what he called the “House Republican chaos caucus” for keeping the president from executing his plan. Walz also contrasted Biden with former President Trump, saying the current president is focused on “getting things done,” while Trump has a “disdain for the rule of law.”
