Howard Lake Recovering From Multi-Structure Fire

(Howard Lake, MN) — Residents in Howard Lake are cleaning up after a fire destroyed or damaged multiple buildings. A house caught on fire in town on Sunday, with embers causing the flames to spread to another home and the steeple of a church. One resident was alerted to the fire by his seven-year-old son, and escaped his home uninjured with his family and pets. The fire destroyed two homes and damaged St. James Lutheran Church. No fatalities or serious injuries occurred, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
