Iowa Governor Issues Disaster Proclamation For Mississippi River Flooding

(Des Moines, IA) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is issuing a disaster proclamation because of expected Mississippi River flooding. The proclamation is for Allamakee, Clayton, Clinton, Des Moines County, Dubuque, Jackson, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine, and Scott counties. Cities along the Mississippi have been getting ready for major-to-moderate flooding because of melting snow in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The Mississippi River is expected to crest over flood stage starting this weekend in Dubuque and next week in the Quad Cities.
