(Grand Portage, MN) — A man is in custody after refusing to stop at a border checkpoint in northern Minnesota. U.S. Customs and Border Protection called Cook County dispatch yesterday after the driver refused to stop at the Grand Portage Port of Entry. State troopers successfully deployed stop sticks east of Grand Marais, leading to the arrest of the 31-year-old driver. No injuries were reported and charges are pending.
