Man Pleads Guilty In Fatal Drunk Driving Wreck

(Red Lake, MN) — A Red Lake man is pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter in connection to a drunk driving wreck. In late 2021, Gerald Wayne Johnson lost control and crashed into a tree while driving at ninety-miles-per-hour. A passenger in his car died in the wreck, and police found that Johnson’s blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. His sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
