Minnesota Supreme Court Denies Derek Chauvin’s Appeal

(Saint Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Supreme Court is denying an appeal from Derek Chauvin in the killing of George Floyd. Chauvin, the former Minneapolis Police officer found guilty of murdering Floyd after kneeling on his neck for over nine-minutes, filed a last-ditch appeal to revoke the conviction. He was sentenced to 21 years in federal prison last year.
