(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development is announcing nearly four-million dollars in grants to help expand the state’s workforce. Sixteen community organizations will benefit from the grants awarded by two different funding programs. The Southeast Asian Economic Disparities Relief Fund awarded 475-thousand-dollar grants to four nonprofits for training and development in Rochester, Minneapolis, St. Paul and Roseville. The Getting to Work funding program awarded grants to 12 organizations that provide financial literacy and vehicle repair support for job seekers. Those receiving funding include nonprofits in Brainerd, Duluth, Little Falls, Mankato and Zumbrota.
