(Helena, MT) — The lawsuit against Montana’s ban on TikTok is hitting the pause button. Parties involved in the lawsuit agreed last week to hold off on proceedings while a similar case at the federal level plays out. Montana’s lawsuit was scheduled to have a hearing later this year before the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The agreement was reached by the content creators who filed the lawsuit and Attorney General Austin Knudsen. Montana was the first state in the country to ban the popular social media app after the legislature passed a bill during last year’s session.
