(Moorhead, MN) — A recently-built rock snake has gone missing in Moorhead. A rock snake is a sculpture consisting of rocks painted by volunteers, which are placed in a row to resemble a snake. The Moorhead rock snake was placed at a playground just days ago, but it appears to have been stolen. Locals who helped put the sculpture together say they had permission from Moorhead Parks, meaning thieves are likely to blame. Despite the theft, area residents say they plan on building a new rock snake in the near future.
