Mosquitoes Swarm Minnesota In Record Numbers Due To Drought Snap

(St. Paul, MN) — Mosquitoes are swarming Minnesota in record numbers this spring. The Metropolitan Mosquito Control District says they’re getting a record number of calls to report high mosquito activity. The district normally gets around 100 calls per day during peak summer days. Last Wednesday, the office got more than 350 calls. They say the last two years of drought left many mosquito eggs unhatched, until this spring.
