(Raseau County, MN) — Nine people are recovering after being rescued from the water following an attempted illegal border crossing near Warroad, Minnesota. U.S. Border Patrol agents responded early yesterday morning to a group of people in a flooded bog west of Warroad. Many in the group are being treated for hypothermia. Agents say eight out of the nine people in the group had illegally entered the U.S. and will be taken to a U.S. Border Patrol station for further processing after they are medically cleared.
