NTSB Releases Report On Deadly 2021 Plane Crash

(Victoria, MN) — The National Transportation Safety Board says a deadly plane crash near Eden Prairie happened because the pilot became disoriented. The agency has been investigating the crash that killed three people since it happened more than two years ago. The plane took off from Alexandria Municipal Airport in western Minnesota on August 7th, 2021 and crashed while on final approach to the Flying Cloud Airport. The NTSB says the 72-year-old pilot became “spatially disoriented” due to a lack of visual references on a cloudy night. The three people on board the plane died but no one on the ground was hurt.
