(Helena, MT) — Political action committees are sparing no expense on the senate race in Montana. Money spent on the race between incumbent Jon Tester and Republican challenger Tim Sheehy has surpassed 44-million dollars, most of which is going for and against Sheehy. PACs have spent more than 11-million dollars in support of the former Navy SEAL, and nearly 18-million dollars in advertisements against him. Most of the money in connection to the Democrat Tester has been opposition. This money reported to the Federal Election Commission includes ads for TV and radio, as well as printed material such as mailers.
