(Minneapolis, MN) — Parents are asking the University of Minnesota to ramp up security measures after a dead body was found inside a classroom yesterday. Officials say no foul play is suspected, but its unclear how the person died in Appleby Hall. Police did reveal that the person had no ties to the Twin Cities campus. One parent told KARE11 they’re concerned because Appleby Hall is open to the public because U of M is a land grant university. In a statement, the university confirmed the building is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday but stressed that many security measures are in place to protect students and staff.
