Phillips Vows To Support Nominee If Presidential Campaign Falters

(Undated) — Minnesota Congressman Dean Phillips is giving his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination four months before he considers pulling the plug. Phillips spoke on the topic on social media on Saturday, setting March 5th as the deadline for a decision on ending his campaign. That’s the date of Super Tuesday, when more than a dozen states will hold presidential primaries and caucuses. Phillips says he will drop out and support the nominee if his campaign isn’t viable after that date. Phillips has until June to decide whether he plans to run for re-election to Congress.
